About your photographer
Ellen guarantees that she will do her best to make you look great!
Why would you want to drive to Sublette, America, to have your portraits taken?!! You will receive the highest quality portraits and service. You can have an incredible selection of backgrounds, sets, and props to make your portraits as unique as you are.
We are often asked “WHY do pictures at Ellen’s look better than other studios?”.
The answer is simple. Ellen didn’t just pick up a camera and call herself a professional photographer. She has spent years learning how to light and pose her subjects to make them look their best. Portraits are so much more than just putting a card in a camera and snapping away hundreds of photos. To have great quality, your photographer must know all about editing and retouching final photos, too. Combine that with state of the art equipment and the fact we take the time to do it right; that’s why you never see a bad photo from Ellen’s.
Ellen Thiemann is well known for her cutting edge portrait style. She has operated Ellen's Photography since 1978 in her small hometown of Sublette, Kansas. Yes, she has been at this a long time! But it doesn't make her "old", it makes her "good"!
Her fresh and creative approach has kept her in demand with clients from all over Southwest Kansas, Southeastern Colorado and the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas. Ellen is the only photographer in this area to receive the coveted Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America.
What makes Ellen different than any other photographer? She is very creative and customers always remark about how comfortable she makes them feel. Clients will often come to be photographed and wind up being friends. You can trust Ellen to do the best job possible. Ellen has been drawing and painting since she was big enough to hold a pencil. Her passions are music, art, reading and (of course!) photography.
